Bishop T.J. Sills

Bishop Thomas Jamaine Sills was born October 21, 1976, to the late Mr. Thomas Sills Jr. & Ms. Aurelia Hendrix Sills the youngest out of four children.  He is currently serving as the Senior Pastor of Connors Temple Baptist Church where he was baptized at the age of six in 1982 and served as a Junior Deacon in 1986-1988. He was called to preach at the age of fourteen in 1990 and graduated from Windsor Forest High School in 1995. Pastor Sills was ordained in July of 1997 and also completed Sheppard’s Class and Ministerial Training in 1997. He went on to attend Master Bible College of Georgia. Pastor Thomas J. Sills served as Senior Pastor of Sweetfield of Eden Baptist Church from October 1998 to March 2020. He currently serves a chaplain with Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department. Bishop Sills is a proud member of New Vision World Wide Fellowship of Churches where he serves as Fourth Regional Bishop. Bishop Sills received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Christian Bible College and Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Fl. in August of 2012.

Bishop Thomas J. Sills is one of God’s most innovative speakers. His ability to take complex subjects and make them easy to understand has endeared him to many around the country. Bishop Sills is committed to training leaders to do the work of the ministry and impact the Kingdom. God has stretched ministry to Honduras and Puerto Rico where he is overseer and spiritual covering for some of their Churches and Pastors. In 2014 Bishop Sills received his second honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Dominion Faith Theological Seminary in Darien Georgia.

Bishop Sills is the founder of Truth Covenant Ministerial fellowship with sons and daughters in Tampa, Fl., Maryland, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Savannah, Ga. and growing. His love for wife his Darlene and sons, Sidney, Timothy (Khadijah) and daughters, Ja’Tia, Mayonna, Jada, and Chloe’ along with his one grandson King and grand daughter Laila, is evident to all who know him. He is loved and appreciated as a visionary whose goal in life is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With humor, practical insight, and a unique “down home” approach, Bishop Sills will deliver a refreshing Word that will challenge, strengthen and encourage.
